Jackson Arch Top Soloist
This was the guitar that taught me how to build guitars and is one of the early Arch top Soloists. Every piece of wood was hand picked by Grover Jackson and myself! One day out at the Ontario factory Grover taught me how to pick the woods for a guitar and he explained the qualities of each type of wood and how they affect the guitar tone. After that we picked out the body and neck (one piece of Mahogany) the fingerboard and the figured Maple top. I was very into Maltese cross's at the time so I decided to make Maltese cross inlay's for this guitar. Jackson still has these in their catalog if you're interested…..
I used this guitar extensively in the band Jailhouse.
